Give Us A Break

Politics aside, the Affordable (or Non-Affordable) Care Act is law. What does that mean for us Americans? Well, it means you must have health insurance or you will be fined. You are required by the full strength of the IRS arm of intimidation. And of course the threat of superior fire power Big Brother has against us is also looming in the background. Government is force and they want to force us to have healthcare no matter the issue of constitutionality and our individual liberty.

So, if you keep up with current events, you probably have noticed the fallout of the unavailing of Healthcare.gov. This Administration's most loyalist supporters have even turned on him. Former White House Press Secretary and loyal mouthpiece for the Obama Administration, has lamented that the implementation of Healthcare.gov was "excruciatingly embarrassing." The system is very incompetent from the start. It's full of bugs, errors, and everything wrong you can think of. Amazon.com runs better and probably should have been consulted before starting on this big pile of crap.

You know that fingers will be pointed and the blame game will start. It is already being reported that the Contractors have prepared testimony pushing the blame on the White House and HHS.

Again, what does it mean for us? We are still going to be forced and will be fined if we don't get healthcare by March 2014. So, why should we be forced and not receive a break? Good question.

I believe we need a one year waiver to sign up so the Government can get this chaotic system under control and fixed. Big Business was given waivers, so why can't the individual American receive a waiver to sign up? It defies reason. It's only what is fair. Bill Oreilly, the Fox News blowhard even is right on this. I don't like saying he is right on things, it makes me feel all dirty like hearing him on the voicemail scandal.

I hate this law but it is law. If it is going to be law then it must be equitable and fair. It's not working right now and we as individuals should not be forced to sign up until it is smooth and running properly. I do hope we get a one year waiver. There is legislation being proposed, I believe now.

They Just Want A Clean One

Obama and his cronies are real change. They might be raising the debt limit like all the other Presidents before but this raising will save America. They just want a clean bill to raise the debt ceiling.

Peter Suderman with Reason.com wrote:

What the Obama team says it wants this time is a “clean” raise—a hike in the debt ceiling that’s paired with no significant changes. In other words, the president wants to continue the same old routine: raise the debt limit, spend more, borrow more—wash, rinse, repeat. The White House argues that a clean hike is the only way to avoid a potential downgrade of the nation’s creditworthiness. If the GOP resists authorizing a hike in the limit, political instability will make creditors wary of further lending, raising the nation’s borrowing costs and destabilizing the global economic system.
Perhaps they should pay a little more attention to what the big credit rating agencies are actually saying. Earlier this week, Fitch put the U.S. government on notice: Yes, it wants the debt limit raised without a major fight, but it also warned that the fundamental strengths of the country’s creditworthiness “are being eroded by the large, albeit steadily declining, structural budget deficit and high and rising public debt.” Without a credible medium term deficit reduction plan, the agency says, a downgrade of the U.S. credit rating is likely by the end of this year. Fitch isn’t the only agency to sound this alarm about unsustainably high debt levels. As The Wall Street Journal noted this week, all three rating firms “have implored lawmakers to lower the country's debt relative to its economic output.”
Raising the debt is a very cheap bandaid from a Dollar General placed over a crater of a wound. We have a cruel cycle of reckless spending and debt accumulation.  Obama is another politician who throws away former principled positions for unprincipled ones. Peter Suderman continued:

President Obama should be sensitive to this. After all, in 2006, as a young Democratic Senator, faced a vote to raise the debt limit from $8.1 trillion to $8.9 trillion. The deficit was much smaller then—less than $250 billion, compared to today’s $1 trillion-plus gaps—but Obama declared his opposition the debt limit hike anyway. “The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure,” he said. “It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies.…Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

Since winning the presidency, Obama has distanced himself from those remarks and the vote they went with, saying it was an example of a new senator making “a political vote.” But Obama is still playing politics with the debt limit—just from a different perch.
He had it right the first time. The fact that the debt limit is up for a vote yet again is a sign of reckless fiscal policies. And the fact that Obama doesn’t  seem to want to end the cycle of spending and borrowing that brought us to the point of needing yet another hike is, as he said, a failure of leadership.

Bad News for Millennials

Obamacare is bad law. There is a specific group that it's especially bad for. I am really excited to say this because I am luckily in that group. The Millennials are the losers. With the leftovers of the recession and debt like student loans, we will now have to pay for Obamacare. That means high premiums and of course penalties for not signing up. A one year waiver would have been nice like Big Business got. John Stewart from the Daily Show agrees.

The article that I read from US News.com said, "These increases reflect one big ACA truth – younger, healthier Americans are required under Obamacare to overpay for their insurance so that older, sicker, and (by and large) wealthier Americans can underpay for their insurance." You may get a Bronze plan for like $83 if you make $25,000 in your mid-Twenties, however the premiums would be massive. The author continues:

Then there are the costs that don't show up in the side-by-side premium comparisons. The Department of Health and Human Services looked at a hypothetical 27-year-old Texan earning $25,000 per year. This person, HHS noted, would pay $145 for the second-cheapest silver plan and $83 for a bronze plan. ButInsureBlog.com noted that such plans would likely come with a $5,000 deductible and a $6,350 out-of-pocket maximum. For a young person with serious health issues, the ACA's "affordable" coverage will consume 30 percent of his income.
This law is bad and hopefully it can be stopped. If not, then we will have to see the economy struggle and Americans, Young Americans, hurt.

No hike in the debt ceiling without real spending cuts, please. (Reason.com)

Go to Reason.com and see the reason why Americans want real cuts before raising the debt ceiling. It is clear that our Government spends too much and Americans are fed up about it. The debt falls on us and the children of this country. It's serious and it's not a Democrat or Republican issue. Well, it's supposed to not be, anyway.

Zhu is a Bad Ass!

Our Communist friend, China, is upset about our partial Government shutdown. Zhu Guangyao, the Chinese Vice Foreign Minister, tough talked that the US needs to get it together and be responsible.

Hey, Zhu! How about you and your fellow Communists start being responsible with your human rights violations! Stop forcing woman to abort their babies like this mother. You still have concentration camps and still murdering your own people.

Don't worry. America won't default. We have our problems, especially financially. However, you need to be responsible and shut the hell up!

Neither did the Treasury Secretary...

Politics Piss Me Off

I haven't written or shared any stories on this blog in a while. I have been sharing and tweeting from the @DailyProle. However, I have been so pissed off lately with politics. I know. "Lately" is not accurate. Politics have annoyed me for quite some time since Dubya Bush. Going further back, I would say studying the history of America and its politics have annoyed me greatly.

These past two months have really set me off though. This two party system is a disease that has infected our Republic. This is chemical warfare. We have been poisoned and gassed. Instead of choking or our skin falling off, our minds have been deluded. The American Sheeple have mostly accepted our political condition as normalcy. It's an anti-dichotomous political system with some differences that only show their same failures.

The Left and Right serve interests both corporate and ideological over their constituents. They also serve the behemoth State that is ever growing. It grows under both parties and our rights our constantly trampled upon. One side wants to spend more on security and war. The other side wants to spend more on welfare and other happy go-lucky Socialist policies. Both sides treat the Constitution as an old essay that they choose to ignore and use to justify their unconstitutional acts.

The partial government shutdown puts a smile on my face. We need a break from these clowns. The petty tactics by both parties during this time does make me mad. However, the ACA law is bad. We can't survive the cost burden alone. Our rights have suffered enough and this law most certainly continues the abuse of power.

I am now done with my rant. I can't wait for Thanksgiving to be NOT thankful for this Government.

IDIOTS! At least Boner is standing up to the wretched ACA. His one good thing he's done as Speaker. Reid sucks and hasn't done one damn thing I support.
