Give Us A Break



Politics aside, the Affordable (or Non-Affordable) Care Act is law. What does that mean for us Americans? Well, it means you must have health insurance or you will be fined. You are required by the full strength of the IRS arm of intimidation. And of course the threat of superior fire power Big Brother has against us is also looming in the background. Government is force and they want to force us to have healthcare no matter the issue of constitutionality and our individual liberty.

So, if you keep up with current events, you probably have noticed the fallout of the unavailing of Healthcare.gov. This Administration's most loyalist supporters have even turned on him. Former White House Press Secretary and loyal mouthpiece for the Obama Administration, has lamented that the implementation of Healthcare.gov was "excruciatingly embarrassing." The system is very incompetent from the start. It's full of bugs, errors, and everything wrong you can think of. Amazon.com runs better and probably should have been consulted before starting on this big pile of crap.

You know that fingers will be pointed and the blame game will start. It is already being reported that the Contractors have prepared testimony pushing the blame on the White House and HHS.

Again, what does it mean for us? We are still going to be forced and will be fined if we don't get healthcare by March 2014. So, why should we be forced and not receive a break? Good question.

I believe we need a one year waiver to sign up so the Government can get this chaotic system under control and fixed. Big Business was given waivers, so why can't the individual American receive a waiver to sign up? It defies reason. It's only what is fair. Bill Oreilly, the Fox News blowhard even is right on this. I don't like saying he is right on things, it makes me feel all dirty like hearing him on the voicemail scandal.

I hate this law but it is law. If it is going to be law then it must be equitable and fair. It's not working right now and we as individuals should not be forced to sign up until it is smooth and running properly. I do hope we get a one year waiver. There is legislation being proposed, I believe now.

They Just Want A Clean One

Obama and his cronies are real change. They might be raising the debt limit like all the other Presidents before but this raising will save America. They just want a clean bill to raise the debt ceiling. 

Peter Suderman with Reason.com wrote:

What the Obama team says it wants this time is a “clean” raise—a hike in the debt ceiling that’s paired with no significant changes. In other words, the president wants to continue the same old routine: raise the debt limit, spend more, borrow more—wash, rinse, repeat. The White House argues that a clean hike is the only way to avoid a potential downgrade of the nation’s creditworthiness. If the GOP resists authorizing a hike in the limit, political instability will make creditors wary of further lending, raising the nation’s borrowing costs and destabilizing the global economic system.
Perhaps they should pay a little more attention to what the big credit rating agencies are actually saying. Earlier this week, Fitch put the U.S. government on notice: Yes, it wants the debt limit raised without a major fight, but it also warned that the fundamental strengths of the country’s creditworthiness “are being eroded by the large, albeit steadily declining, structural budget deficit and high and rising public debt.” Without a credible medium term deficit reduction plan, the agency says, a downgrade of the U.S. credit rating is likely by the end of this year. Fitch isn’t the only agency to sound this alarm about unsustainably high debt levels. As The Wall Street Journal noted this week, all three rating firms “have implored lawmakers to lower the country's debt relative to its economic output.”
Raising the debt is a very cheap bandaid from a Dollar General placed over a crater of a wound. We have a cruel cycle of reckless spending and debt accumulation.  Obama is another politician who throws away former principled positions for unprincipled ones. Peter Suderman continued:

 President Obama should be sensitive to this. After all, in 2006, as a young Democratic Senator, faced a vote to raise the debt limit from $8.1 trillion to $8.9 trillion. The deficit was much smaller then—less than $250 billion, compared to today’s $1 trillion-plus gaps—but Obama declared his opposition the debt limit hike anyway. “The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure,” he said. “It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies.…Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

Since winning the presidency, Obama has distanced himself from those remarks and the vote they went with, saying it was an example of a new senator making “a political vote.” But Obama is still playing politics with the debt limit—just from a different perch.  
He had it right the first time. The fact that the debt limit is up for a vote yet again is a sign of reckless fiscal policies. And the fact that Obama doesn’t  seem to want to end the cycle of spending and borrowing that brought us to the point of needing yet another hike is, as he said, a failure of leadership.

From Russia with Love

I think it would be more correct if I said, "To Russia with Love." However, I love James Bond and it's staying.

Alright, Snowden update is here. Russia has granted the infamous NSA whistleblower, Edward Snowden, a year of asylum.  He was in the Moscow airport for six weeks until being allowed to tiptoe into the foreign country ever so tacitly.

This is a blog and not a newspaper. So, I will give you my opinion. I am so excited and relieved he got asylum. Unlike our current liar-in-chief, I support whistleblowers. Obama ran on protecting whistleblowers back in 2008 but has flopped on the issue. Obama and his administration are "very disappointed" according to news reports over Russia's decision. I am very disappointed in the political leadership in Washington that are vehemently slandering Mr. Snowden as some malevolent traitor. He's not. The traitors are those in power in our Government. They betrayed the American people and violated their 4th Amendment rights. This was revealed to us by a true patriot.

Snowden's lawyer assures the media that he "is in a safe place." Whatever place that Edward Snowden is, we must remember that he has a place in our hearts and mind. He exposed corruption and reckless disregard of our Constitutional rights.

Obama's Insensitivity to Blacks?

What if I told you that a (gasp) White president has done more for Black people than our savior, Obama?

Well, I would first most likely be called a racist . Others would say that I am a Fox News Obama hater just saying nonsense. Then there are those who really don't give a damn.

I will speak to all three of you. I came across this brilliant article from the Cato Institute. This will pierce the proverbial bubble of the regular Obama drone.

Richard W. Rahn started his important article with this:

If you knew nothing else about President Obama other than looking at the data, you might conclude that he was insensitive to blacks, given that they have done far worse economically under his administration than Hispanics or whites. What is striking is that the president and his advisers still seem to be clueless about which economic policies work and which don’t work. 

Obama has made an effort to compare himself with former President Ronald Reagan and has done so in too many speeches. I won't supply all the links but you can perform a Google search to see the speeches. He should stop this though because it is so far beyond the truth. Unlike Reagan, Obama has failed in helping minorities especially Blacks. With an average of 93% of Black Americans voting for Obama in both 2008 and 2012, he had the confidence of the Black community that he would help them reach new levels of economic success. Sadly, the facts paint a more bleak picture and his laughable comparison to Reagan sheds the light on The Gipper's more impressive accomplishments for Black Americans.



Let's start with the first step of how to improve the lot of a group of people which are with taxes. Simple economics will teach you that how Government treats job creators will determine a healthy economy. In turn, a healthy economy that bolsters job creation will help minorities.

President Reagan reduced the maximum tax rate on job creators by 60 percent; Mr. Obama increased the maximum tax rate on job creators by 17 percent.

That's right. Obama has raised the tax rate on job creators while Reagan reduced the maximum tax rate by a stellar 60%.

Second step is federal spending. Under Obama, spending has only increased while Reagan cut non-defense spending by a third of the nation's GDP.

Third step is federal regulations that can often stifle business which in turn limits job creation for minorities. You guessed it. Obama has only increased regulations while Reagan cut them.

Moving on from the economic actions that differ from our current Progressive Fabian Socialist President and Ronald Reagan; let us delve into how exactly Black Americans did under Reagan as opposed to Obama. Through solid research by the Cato Institute, Rahn writes the following:
  • Under Reagan, adult black unemployment fell by 20 percent, but under Mr. Obama, it has increased by 42 percent.
  • Black teenage unemployment fell by 16 percent under Reagan, but has risen by 56 percent under Mr. Obama.
  • The increase in unemployment rates has been far worse for blacks under Mr. Obama than for whites and Hispanics.
  • Inflation-adjusted real incomes are slightly higher for Hispanics and whites than they were in 2008, but are lower for blacks.
  • The labor force participation rate has fallen for all groups, but remains far lower for blacks than for whites and Hispanics.

Now, as you take in the facts above, I want you to ponder on how our President handles his failures. He not only dodges and reflects, but he also pushes his failed policies. He's like one of the crazy British generals in WWI who kept sending men over their desert trenches to certain death in Gallipoli. The policy was to keep charging and advancing against heavily entrenched Turks and their hundreds of machine guns. 

A failed policy is not a failed policy to the minds of extremists like Obama. The people he says he is standing for are hurting and not advancing.

Obama's failures are based on an erroneous theory that I discussed in a past blog called the Zero Sum Fallacy. Basically, it is the theory that in order for an individual to have success it must be off the back of another individual. Rahn delves into this and gives background below:

Adam Smith was one of the first to understand that as a result of new technologies and better political and business institutions and organizations — and, most important, the rule of law and proper incentives — everyone could become better off without taking anything from anyone else. Despite the empirical evidence of the past 200 years that Smith and all of the clear and rational thinkers who followed him were right about economic growth, there is still the widespread belief that for one person to prosper someone else needs to suffer. It is this mindset that serves as the basic rationale for socialism and the state as an instrument of income redistribution. One would think that only the uneducated still would have this mindset, but it is most prevalent in universities.

Obama, his drones, his Advisers, Progressive Statists, and especially the Academic Intelligentsia, are all of a different school of thought. Kahn further elaborates on America's educators and states they are

so dense when it comes to productivity increases and the resulting economic growth, and real rise in living standards is that most classrooms are not much more productive than they were when Aristotle was speaking to a dozen or so students 2,500 years ago. By contrast, entrepreneurs see better ways of producing more for less and visualize and create things that never existed (i.e., the automobile, the airplane, the iPad, etc.) — and they create wealth and jobs. Mr. Obama comes from the government/academic class rather than the entrepreneurial class and has a much more static view of the world.
The more static view of the world is anti economic, entrepreneurial, productivity, and wealth creation. Slow growth and stagnation are the current policies.

He wants you to believe he is like Reagan; but Reagan stood for the direct opposite policies that actually helped the poor and minorities. Kahn sums it most eloquently and effectively:

Reagan thought like an entrepreneur, and thus intuitively understood that economic growth creates opportunities for everyone — most important, for those who have the least. Mr. Obama has fewer senior advisers and top officials in his administration who have had significant private-sector experience than any previous president; hence, like all too many of the European statists and socialists, they think in static terms.
The unfortunate irony is that America’s first black president seems bent on continuing a set of policies that can lead only to continued slow growth or stagnation. The ones who are and will suffer the most from these policies are those who have the least. Mr. Obama no doubt has real compassion for the poor, but until he can begin to understand the destructive second-order effects of his policies and see that getting the foot of government off the forces of economic growth is the only real way to make life better for most of them, all too many will continue to suffer unnecessarily.

Justice for ...

I know you have heard about it. Even the people living under the proverbial rock have heard about Trayvon and Zimmerman.

Ever since Zimmerman was acquitted and proved innocent by a court of law based on all evidence reviewed by a jury; there has been constant media coverage of protesting by those who are yelling, "Justice for Trayvon." I wonder if these protests and violent riots are being supported by our very own DOJ like last time.

Here at the Daily Prole, a new "justice" is being called for. There are countless children and teenagers being killed by drone strikes over seas. Drone strikes have been the ultimate tool to fight terrorism with the Obama administration. It has not only resulted in young Arab children being killed but also American citizens including a 16 year old American citizen. The Obama Administration is being sued currently over this.



So, Mr. President, if you had a son would they look like any of the young boys that have been murdered by your drone strike program? How about Abdul Wasit?

Let's Sever the Hollywood Umbilical Cord

Chris "Kristy Kreme" Christie is at it again.

Oh, the doughnut remark is not about his girth. It's a title he earned when he stuffed his face with a glazed doughnut on Letterman. 


I'm sure there will be plenty of doughnuts backstage when he appears on the set of the new sitcom, Michael J. Fox Show, as Entertainment Weekly reported. The NJ Govenor has a history of loving the spotlight and appearing on as many shows as possible. He's been on the View, Jimmy Fallon, Saturday Night Live, etc. Just put a search in Google for Christ Christie on show, you will get a ton of links. 

I know. There are other politicians that think they are "Hollywood." Including are very own President, Barack Obama. Him and Christie have a Hollywood "bromance" going on and it's super cute. I do digress.

I know. Reagan was an actor. The former "Governator" of California was Arnold Schwortz...Schwartzne...You know what? Forget it. You know him as the Terminator or one of my personal favorites, Commando. ( See Imdb.) Reagan was an actual actor and a hell of a good one at that. He also served as president of the Screen Actors Guild. The "Governator" was not only an action star but a famous half naked body builder before entering politics. 

Chris Christie is NOT an actor. He is the Governor of NJ, a simple politician. He has the duty and responsibility to govern the people of his State. However, the umbilical cord that connects Hollywood and the politician's civil service taints the office of that politician-the office of a Representative, Senator, Governor, and yes, President. Fame, notoriety, and self aggrandizement has become more important than being the best civil servant you can while having that lovely title of politician. You are not in office to be the next Sylvester Stallone. Ok, I'm reaching there but Rocky was amazing.

When the proles actually take notice of their representatives and see them going to huge fundraisers with hot celebrities and appearing on show after show, they compare in their mind what they have actually done as a civil servant. 

Another great example is the Benghazi cover up. Obama went to a posh Vegas campaign hours after the vicious terrorist attack that left four Americans dead. How about one less inappropriate like the time when Obama chose to go on the show the View instead of meeting with world leaders of the UN. 

Don't worry. I'm getting back to Christie. 

Well, let's go by the numbers in Jersey under Chris Farley, oops, I mean, Chris Christie. Here is the link. I will give you a summary which is excrement. Yes, Jersey is sh** under the Hollywood starlet. Wait, starlet is for a girl. Oh well, you get the point. Unemployment is high, taxes are high, house hold income is low, corruption is still ongoing, and over all, don't move to Jersey! 

But you can watch Christie on Jimmy Fallon for a good ole chuckle. 


Oh, his bromantic partner, Chairman Obama, also did this slow rap with Fallon. It was as if you are watching a black Justin Bieber walking in front of millions of screaming 12 year old girls. 


Don't worry folks, are country is going down the tubes faster than...well, you don't need that mental picture. Let's just say, according to sound research conducted by the Heritage Foundation, the US is continuing to decline in so many areas especially economically and concerning liberty/rights. Ah, hell, here's 40 more facts of our decline while our politicians party like it's 1980. 

Both on the Right and the Left, our politicians are living it up. They are not only playing the harp while Rome burns, they are heating their million dollar coffee and roasting their pastries over the flames. 

As I said previously, don't worry about $40,000 per ticket fancy dinner parties with celebs and politicians. They are just serving us and know what's best for us and our bustling economy. Do you really want to cut the cord? Do you want to piss on their posh parties? Oh, you do? Well, you are racist and crazy anti-government whack jobs. 

All joking aside, it is truly pathetic this scam that is going on. No real change has occurred. It's been politics as usual ever since, well from president to president; from governor to governor; from senator to senator; you get my point. Now, there are a few out there that do genuinely care about the people and do great things but a majority do not. Furthermore, a majority of Americans don't trust the government and their leaders. 

We can only sever the cord that makes politicians think they are celebrities by our votes and by our voice. We have 2016 to look forward to and of course elections before then for leaders in our own States.

Lady Liberty is Crying



The gift was ten years late.

It was 1876, and the centennial celebration was underway for that glorious day back in 1776 when the Declaration of Independence was signed. America and France were in negotiations and plans to construct the famous gift of "Lady Liberty," aka, Statue of Liberty. Construction started in the 1860's and was planned to be completed by the Centennial Celebration of 1876. America agreed to construct the pedestal for the Statue of Liberty to rest on. France constructed the rest of Lady Liberty. Fundraising was actually hard to attain for this statue on both sides of the Atlantic. Furthermore, the time, the men, and the materials arranged also added to the delay. So, ten years off the due date, the Statue of Liberty was delivered to New York Harbor. President Grover Cleveland gave the dedication speech. These words are not widely known nor are they reproduced like other presidential speech lines (ie. JFK's "what you can do for your country"). However, the passage was profound and a promise. A promise that has not been kept. 


What were President Cleveland's powerful words that have been predominately left on the dust heap of history? 




We will not forget that liberty here made her home; nor shall her chosen altar be neglected.


America is the home for liberty. Alexis de Tocqueville wrote Democracy in America in 1835 and had some of the most awe-inspiring statements about America that modern day American politicians can't even come close to saying. What is more sad is that Tocqueville was a French citizen and his words can't be matched now-a-days. If so, it is with a small group of virtuous politicians. In reference to America being the home for liberty, Tocqueville said the following:


Americans believe their freedom to be the best instrument and surest safeguard of their welfare . . .that their chief business is to secure for themselves a government which will allow them to acquire the things they covet and which will not debar them from the peaceful enjoyment of those possessions which they have already acquired.


Tocqueville further said, "At the present time, the liberty of association has become the necessary guarantee against the tyranny of the majority." What Tocqueville was proclaiming in his great work was that America was a home for liberty where the individual had soverigenty and rights as opposed to a tyrannical democratic majority. His book had the title of democracy but Tocqueville was excited that this young country had a type of Democracy that extolled individual liberty and protected it. In fact, the US was not a Democracy but a Constitutional Republic. What is more, Tocqueville said, "...the Federal Constitution...disavowed beforehand the habitual use of compulsion in enforcing the decision of the majority." He continues, "The great end of justice is to substitute the notion of right for that of violence and to place a legal barrier between the government and the use of physical force." Some of our Founding Fathers agreed with Tocqueville. Benjamin Franklin said, "Where liberty dwells, there is my country." You guessed it, it was America that Franklin abode. He also said, "Freedom is not a gift bestowed upon us by other men, but a right that belongs to us by the laws of God and nature." 

Lady Liberty was a gift bestowed by other men but her meaning is rooted deep into the intertwining of America's fabric. Benjamin Franklin said in reference to America's purpose: 
"God grant that not only the love of liberty but a thorough knowledge of the rights of man may pervade all the nations of the earth, so that a philosopher may set his foot anywhere on its surface and say: This is my country." 
The love of liberty was the purpose. America was the home of liberty. 

Now, what about the altar? What was President Cleveland talking about when he said, "nor shall her chosen altar be neglected." That sounds religious. I know you Progressives are just mad has heck seeing that word. There is something sacred about the word altar. I think Thomas Jefferson described it best when he wrote to Benjamin Rush, another Founding Father. He said, "...for I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man." So, there is a link between God and the altar that President Cleveland was talking about. America was and supposedly still is a Christian nation. I am a Libertarian and I do agree upon historical fact of our founding that America is a Christian nation. On the contrary, I am not obligated to believe that morality and personal choice needs to be legislated by the Government. However, this means that there is something sacred to America's love of liberty. There is something sacred to America's original intent to fighting the War for Independence, to writing the Constitution, and to form a Government independent of foreign rule. Liberty is sacred and tyranny is evil. 

The question is now posed to our current generation. Have we neglected Lady Liberty's chosen altar? I can go down the line of the tyrannical moves by our government over the last 20 years. Yet, we are currently under the Obama administration and I will focus on that. Apart from his various unconstitutional moves, (ie. using Executive Powers improperly) under Obama, two bills have passed with his signature that have neglected the altar. 


First, the NDAA bill sadly passed, which declares the American homeland as another "front" to the "War on Terror." Furthermore, it allows Americans to be indefinitely detained. All Americans are now "terror suspects." We even now have drones flying around in the sky to spy on Americans. I discussed the NDAA more in a previous entry regarding liberty and security here.

Second, the already infamous, Obamacare or what I liked to call, Marxistcare was passed. It was then solidified by faulty reasoning by the Supreme Court. I'm sure our good comrades from past to present, like Karl Marx, Lenin, Mao, Castro, and our Red buddy, Hugo Chavez are honored by this achievement. Oh, and let's not forget the greedy Progressives that are making millions off this new Communist system of healthcare, like Obama's campaign strategist and crony, David Axelrod. Lady Liberty was not only assaulted, she was beaten to a bloody pulp with Obamacare. Liberty was supposed to be protected by the sacred Constitution. Obamacare is unconstitutional. The government can't force an individual to enter into private contract or to purchase anything for just existing. The government can't force the individual to enter commerce. Fortunately, the Supreme Court did strike down the argument for the Commerce Clause. But this is where the whole bill needed to be struck down. The mandate was rendered unconstitutional but Roberts, the surprise swing vote, erroneously reasoned that it was a tax. He and some of the other Progressive justices rewrote the Bill. Obama and his cronies argued that it was not a tax. The government's attorneys argued that it wasn't a tax. Even more outrageously, the lawyers argued alongside the non-tax argument that it was a tax at some instances. This was because the IRS was going to enforce it. 


Now, I know the political maneuvering by the Republicans is to say that it is a tax. This is fine because it technically is now and this is a massive tax on Americans. Hence, it is a wrong move by a incumbent president nearing the end of his first term and up for re-election. But, putting politics aside, this was a loss for liberty not a gain. 


Lady Liberty is crying. Our country has moved from being the home of liberty to the facilitator of tyranny. The individual can now be compelled, coerced, and forced by the violent arm of the government to do whatever said Government wants. Any unconstitutional acts of Congress that assess penalties accompanied along with a mandate can now be rationalized as a "tax." It can be rationalized because the IRS will enforce and that there is ignorant Supreme Court precedence to support it. Our healthcare system is now on the road to other failed systems throughout Europe and even our above neighbor, Canada. Canada's supreme court declared in Chaoulli v. Quebec that their government mandated and centralized control over the healthcare system was violating human rights. Source

Individual liberty and its protection by the Constitution has become irrelevant. The Constitution is perceived by many and sadly, many in our Government as nothing more than a paper document. Our liberty is then nothing more than a word written on paper. Lady Liberty is nothing more than a statue. The sacred altar that she rests on is just kooky old, American religious talk. Liberty is something that just crazy Right-wing racists talk about. What is more, the FBI now considers you a terrorist  if you have a love or strong desire for individual liberty. Government tyranny is the most reasonable and compassionate. Individual liberty and creating success and wealth is selfish and greedy.

Will you be a son and daughter of liberty to continue carrying on that torch in Lady Liberty's hand? We must fight to preserve individual liberty. We must debate, warn, write, vote, and just get involved to effect our political system for good. To bring back leaders like Grover Cleveland and our Founding Fathers who spoke and believed that America was the home for liberty and that we must not neglect the sacred altar. Lady Liberty is crying as were many liberty-minded Americans when Marxistcare was upheld. However, girls don't cry, they get even. Lady Liberty still carries the torch and so can you. I know I will.

Money, Sex, and Politics

No. I know what you are thinking. It's not an article on the rakish and sordid Kennedys. Who wants to read about good ole Teddy K. driving into a lake, drunk after a night of partying, killing a young woman? Although I would love to further discuss this, I must continue on a different topic.

An article by the Heritage Foundation entitled "Ten Questions Obama Should be Asked at Tuesday's Press Conference" list 10 pointed but veracious questions that Obama should be faced with.

Question number 5 deals with the Constitution and contraception coverage. This is the question that I am going to address. I read this article after being very irritated throughout the day. I'm sure you have heard about Rush Limbaugh and the controversial "slut" statement. Even if you don't watch too much news, the media and Obama will make sure everyone hears about it.

I believe that Obama wanted our focus to shift from his unpopular and unconstitutional Obamacare and other failing policies. Rather, he wants us to think about condoms, sex, woman's health, and it should all be free. And the main stream media agree and are having a blast reporting on this every minute.

I will not deeply expound on contraceptives and women's health. Nor am I going to write about the rights or wrongs with using contraceptives. That is up to you. If you are like Santorum, then it is up to your local government if they want to ban them. I will address Rush Limbaugh's comments; contraceptives and their constitutionality and importance; and Obama's pitiful meddling in this matter.

Limbaugh was wrong for calling Ms. Fluke, who testified before a congressional hearing on contraceptive coverage, a "slut." He knows it and he apologized. You ought not call women that, especially on live air. Misogyny, intolerance, sexism, and superiority by men can be found on both sides of the ideological fence. There are countless examples of Liberal men in the media who have viciously attacked Conservative woman and called them reprehensible, misogynist terms. Bill Maher, a major Liberal comedian/political commentator called Sarah Palin the four letter "c" word and has a history of vile, sexist comments. There are more examples; research and see for yourself . Rush is treated as the most evil man in America but he is one in many political commentators who have said sexist terms regarding woman. And in regards to the loathsome, iniquitous microcephalic, Bill Maher, he donated 1 million to an Obama super PAC. Maybe Obama will rethink and give back the donation since he is now the "guardian of woman." Sarah Palin is asking Obama too give the money back.

Back to the lovely topic of contraceptives. Ms. Fluke, a Georgetown law student, now turned activist, testified in front of a Democratic congressional committee. She spoke without any qualms about how she and other woman are entitled to free contraceptives. Because a woman's sex life especially in school can be too costly. This is so absurd, unconstitutional, illogical, and immoral. No one should be forced to pay for woman to have sex. This is not a woman's health issue, it is a liberty issue. We here at Son of Liberty passionately defend liberty and will warn others when liberty is in danger. The sacred document that protects our liberties is the Constitution. The Constitution does not allow for this to happen. Furthermore, a key element of liberty, is individual choice and responsibility. Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute, Doug Bandow said in regards to Obamacare and contraceptive coverage, "it took over medical decisions best left to individuals." Doug Bandow altruistically continued to postulate:


Contraception is not an essential medical service more important than treatment for breast cancer, leukemia, colon cancer, and Alzheimer's. Or my knee replacement. If contraception should be "free," why not these other far more vital treatments? Why allow deductibles and co-pays to discourage anyone from getting any medical treatment?Former Maryland Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend blamed opponents for wanting "to fight about contraception being available for women." Robert Boston of Americans United for Separation of Church and State similarly charged that "the Bishops" want "to personally cut off access" to contraceptives. 
In fact, contraceptives are available to all and no one is campaigning to ban the pill, IUD, or condoms. Saying that insurance coverage is necessary for access to contraceptives is like saying insurance coverage is necessary for access to aspirin. Anyone can buy contraceptives today.
But someone has to pay. The only question is who. 
Insurance coverage is not "free." Premiums must rise to cover expanded benefits. Female employees will pay more if their insurance is paying more.Of course, the mandate also requires the impotent, infertile, gays, sexually inactive, sexually less active, and those opposed to contraception to pay for those who use contraception, especially in abundance. Why should the former be forced to subsidize the latter? Why is this wealth transfer a new national imperative and "right"? 
The president declared: "Every woman should be in control of the decisions that affect her health. Period." Quite true. But the way to do that is for women to pay for their own health care and decide what they want their health insurance to cover. 


The First Amendment protects religious liberty. Furthermore, I believe that means "moral conscience" objection. Because you don't have to be "religious" or go to a certain denominational church or align oneself with a particular faith to have a "moral objection." Doug Bandow says it is "freedom of conscience." He says, "Freedom of conscience is the foundation for all human liberty, something that reflects the very nature of the human person. It is not a privilege granted by the state. A limited, constitutional government created to protect individual liberty has an obligation to respect religious beliefs, even — indeed, especially — unpopular ones." 


Contraceptive coverage is negated by individual and religious liberty assured by the Constitution. This is coupled with the obvious fact that contraceptives are readily available and not an important health issue like cancer, diabetes, and so forth. If you have a lifestyle as Ms. Fluke or other people, you should continue to have individual responsibility of paying for own contraceptives or choose a private insurance policy.

Now I will briefly rant on Obama calling Ms. Fluke. Obama said he called Fluke because he thought of his daughters. Super Obama wore his tights and cape at the press conference today. He was "defending" woman everywhere, not just Fluke. He called an encouraged Fluke and thanked her. One word: appalling! 


Our president has an economic crisis, dilemma with potential war, and European economic instability. Not to mention, jobs are scarce and gas prices are out-of-control. He calls this Fluke girl who wants free contraceptives in order to not pay for her sexual lifestyle to encourage her. Is this a role model for every American girl, Mr. President? Is she courageous? Is he worth your time? Are you not just playing politics? Put up your superhero outfit back in your closet and put on your "presidential" clothes and get to work dealing with more pressing issues at hand. 


May I make a suggestion for a courageous woman for Obama to call?  How about the Indiana mother who shielded her own body over her children to protect them from the tornado and lost both her legs? Oh, have you called Agent Terry's family yet, Mr. President? You know, the American border agent who was killed by guns that were given to the cartels under your administration? Did you call his family to encourage them and to tell them thank you for raising such a brave American hero? 


The Utopian Statists want you to believe that there is a "war on woman" launched by the "sexist" conservatives. Obama, like a true failed leader, panders to that. This isn't about war or woman's health. Contraceptives is for both sexes. Why isn't Obama and his liberal cronies talking about free coverage for males? Isn't that sexist? Obama and company want you the American to focus on sex, woman's health, and condoms instead of his failed policies that have greatly harmed this country. 


I wrote this to inform you the absurdity of it all and the illegality that poses a threat to our liberty. Now, move on from this and do not accept this as ground to debate on with the Libs. Stay strong and continue to fight to get this guy out of office. Keep the debate on his failed policies and failed leadership. Don't get sucked into a "woman's health" dialogue on contraceptives because it is rubbish.

The Apology Heard Round the World

Remember when your mother taught you to apologize? Maybe you pulled your sister's hair or pushed your brother for a cookie. Maybe you called your sister fat or your brother retarded.

Whether physical or verbal, we tend to harm others through our lives. Sometimes inadvertently, we can say something with no malicious intention that harms someone. We also can be responsible for other people's actions who are under our authority that can harm others.

Apologies are needed and are a moral by-product of Judeo-Christian teachings. The book of Matthew tells us to "reconcile with your brother" and the book of James tells us to "confess sins to one another."

We are a country founded upon the precepts of the Judeo-Christian tradition. Furthermore, we have made great strides in our young history to make amends for wrongdoing. We have apologized in the past and gave gifts as Matthew 5:24 tells us to do.



Recent violence in Afghanistan because of the burning of some Qurans by US troops has been a point of controversy. Oh, it's not the burning of the religious books. Hell, it's not even the despicable acts of the Afghans themselves, more specifically the soldiers that the Americans have trained, who are shooting our soldiers in the back of the head.

It's the apology heard round the world uttered by the feckless lips of our president that is the true controversy. Even now, there are reports that our military actually had pragmatic reasons to destroy those Qurans. The Qurans may have already been desecrated at the hands of their owners, the Taliban and Al Qaeda prisoners. There are reports that the Qurans were used to pass messages.



Even if the report about the messages are false, there is the possibility that it was inadvertent.

Inadvertent or purposeful destruction of the Islamic holy book is not the "great sin" that we need to be apologizing for. Mr. President, you need to be demanding an apology from Karzai and his people for the killing of US soldiers. Mr. President, the world may have heard your apology but the world also heard a concession to the egregious and ungrateful acts of bloody, barbarous violence by the Afghan people.

Afghan soldiers that our military have trained have been killing our troops before the book burning. The people have rioted and committed violence.

Let me remind you the reader, you the American, you the foreigner, whoever you are. Whether you support our presence in Afghanistan (I do not), our military have sacrificed greatly and spilled blood for these Afghans. What is more, we have spent over a half a trillion dollars in helping these people and protecting them.

Muslim clerics call for punishment and even death to American military. The same people we died for and are hemorrhaging money for are violently rioting, burning American flags, and pictures of Obama. More devastating, they have killed the soldiers who are there to help and protect them. They have said they would not accept an apology and demand punishment.

They don't want an apology and they don't deserve an apology. Do these same Muslims apologize for Christian churches and other objects of the Christian faith being destroyed? Do they apologize for the murders of countless Christians throughout the Muslim world?

Let's be more specific. Does Karzai apologize for the killing of Americans by his own soldiers?

Where was Obama's apology when the government under his administration gave guns to the Mexican drug cartels that have killed border agent Brian Terry? An apology that is rightfully owed needs to be given.

I am so furious over this whole Afghanistan quagmire. It needs to end. We need to pull out. We can't "democratize" them. We can't police and nation build. It has become a failure. The people don't want us there and are willing to kill our troops. They so easily commit violence and murder over a few Qurans being either inadvertently burnt or burnt to keep secret messages from reaching the enemy.

It is apparent that our President is weak but this shows him to be cowardly. Furthermore, it shows he favors one religion over all others. He can't even issue a stern condemnation and earnest plea to the Iranians to release the Christian pastor. He refuses to respect the Catholic faith with contraceptives. Only the Muslim faith gets a pass. Obama wouldn't say it was a Muslim extremist who shot those people at Fort Hood back in 2009.

The violence against our troops accompanied with that Muslim faith gets a pass by capitulation and cowardice voiced with an apology from our supposed leader.
